Major sports organizations join line-up for SBC Digital Summit North America
2 minutos de lectura
(London).- Professional sports are finally on their way back, but how did it happen, what role do fans play in the new set-ups and what does it all mean for the betting industry? Find out when SBC Digital Summit North America takes a deep dive into the issues surrounding the return to action of major U.S sports, with input from the NBA, PGA Tour, LPGA and NASCAR.

The After the Hiatus session takes place on July 14, the opening day of the three-day virtual conference and exhibition, and will provide valuable insights into the relationship between professional sports and their betting and fantasy partners, and how that has changed during the build-up to the resumption of live action.
Expert panelists will also share their ideas for how sports can drive fan engagement in these unique circumstances, and also reveal some of the secrets behind how the professional sports organizations have adapted to the new Coronavirus-safety rules.
Scott Kaufman-Ross (Vice President, Head of Fantasy and Gaming, NBA), David Miller (VP & Assistant General Counsel, PGA Tour), Brian Carroll (SVP, Global Media Distribution, LPGA) and Tim Clark (SVP & Chief Digital Officer, NASCAR) make up the panel, with ESPN’s Sports Betting Analyst Doug Kezirian asking the questions.
Jaap Kalma, SBC’s Chief commercial Officer, said: “Everyone in the sports betting industry is excited about the return of live action, so it’ll be fascinating to hear some of the people who have helped to make that happen share their thoughts on how their new set-ups will work.
“The session also represents a rare opportunity to discover how major sports organizations believe they can work most effectively with their betting and fantasy partners, both during this time when fans are locked out and when events start to return to normal.”
After the Hiatus is part of the Sports conference and networking track, which has sessions on all three days of SBC Digital Summit North America. One of the other highlights is In Conversation with Zach Leonsis, an interview with the SVP Strategic Initiatives of Monumental Sports & Entertainment, the owner of Washington Wizards and Washington Capitals.
The track also features sessions on combating match-fixing, the sponsorship market, sports data, and how rights-holders are adapting to legalized sports betting. Participants include senior staff from Roar Digital, Station Casinos, Foxwoods, Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment, Kambi, and RSG Hockey.
SBC Digital Summit North America will use an advanced technological platform to allow delegates in their homes and offices to access high-level conference content, explore the latest sports betting innovations, and connect with people from across the industry.
The conference element of the virtual trade show includes four further tracks - Land-Based, Online, Innovation, and Regulatory. Each of them have associated themed networking sessions, which will provide delegates with a straightforward way to connect with operators, suppliers, and affiliates from their part of the gambling industry.
Delegates can also view market-leading products from international suppliers at the 30-booth interactive exhibition, which will be accompanied by a program of product presentations, workshops, and exhibitor activities throughout the three days. Staff from the suppliers will be available to answer questions, conduct product demonstrations, and discuss how they can work with both online sportsbooks and brick-and-mortar casinos.
